We Be Rocking
Q. I have a problem with the vehicle rocking from side to side. This happens mostly at higher speeds and when going around curves, but will also occur at lower speed if the road is bad. When the rocking starts I have to hit the brakes to stop it or else it feels like it will continue until I loose control of the car.
I had the shocks replaced about a year ago but soon after the problem started again. I also had an alignment done when I bought it so it would pass the safety inspection.
I was also wondering about gas milage. I noticed that on a previous question you said that this particular engine has problems with the fuel injectors dumping too much fuel into the engine. Would just replacing the fuel injectors solve the problem and if so what kind should I buy?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to find anyone that knows anything about my rocking problem.

TroyA. I believe the rocking problem is due to a broken stabilizer bar mount. Look at the two mounts under the radiator area and i'm willing to bet at least one is broken. Replace both mounts, and the bushings, and I think that will cure the rocking problem.
As for the injectors, if you have no codes in the computer and the injectors are dumping too much fuel, then yes, new injectors will correct the problem. However, they should only be replaced after checking the rest of the fuel system for proper operation. If they do need to be replaced, you can get a fuel injector kit, P/N 16021-17C00 from your local Nissan Dealer.
