Astro Van EGR Valve
Q. Hello! I have a question about a 1993 Chevy Astro van I have. I need to repair the EGR valve on my van; I do not know how to repair it. I was wondering if you could give me some information about how to repair the EGR valve on my van? Can you help me?

A. Not real sure what you mean by "repair"! These are usually just replaced. You need to remove the engine cover so you can get to it. It will be just in front of the distributor and behind the throttle body. A black valve bolted to the intake manifold with two bolts/studs. It has one vacuum hose on it. Remove the hose and two bolts and it's off! That simple.
