Mail Order Auto Schools Q. To whom it may concern, I am interested in an auto mechanic course by mail Could you tell me which one would be the best and do you think I can learn by mail courses? I know only a little about auto mechanics. Thank you, Cho-che

A. I was just talking to someone about learning auto mechanics by mail. We were wondering if they sent you a car to use while you learn. Or maybe they sent you parts of a car and the tools to work on them.

I guess they can teach you the theory and hard facts of auto repair, but hands on is the only real way to learn. So I don't think I can recommend a mail order auto mechanics school.

I would check your local community collages for information on degree courses in Automotive Technology.
