Chevy Silverado: V-6 To V-8?

Q. I would like to put a 350 V-8 into my truck. I would like to know what all I will need to do this. What can be used off the old engine that will work on the V-8, will the bell housing mount up to the block, will the computer and the wiring harness need to be changed? Will the throttle body that's on the V-6 mount on the intake for the V-8.

Any type of information would be appreciated on converting this over.

1993 Chevy Silverado 2WD
4.3 V-6
Manual 5 speed
182,000
Fuel Injected
Has ABS, P/S, A/C, Cruise
Thanks, Clayton

A. Engine will bolt up to your transmission. TBI unit will too. It will be calibrated differently for a V-6 and V-8. Probably different injectors. ECM should be the same but the PROM needs to be changed. This is a do-able swap but you need to do some research on the wire harness.
