Pontiac Grand Am Squeals On Turns

Q. 1998 Pontiac Grand Am. 114,000 miles, A/C, P/S, ABS brakes, cruise control and automatic transmission. When I turn the steering wheel to the right, I hear a squeaking noise coming from outside the car. This not only happens if I turn right, but also when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the right on a road or highway, i.e. around a slight curve.

Pontiac Grand Am Squeals On Turns

It doesn't occur when turning left. Any information or advice is appreciated.

Thank you...

A. It could be a number of things. Tire squeal due to bad wheel alignment, front brake pads worn down to the wear sensors or brake backing plate rubbing on the rotors.
