Honda Accord Will Not Start

Q. Hello, I have a 1987 Honda Accord, and it won't start, I checked the for spark and it does have some. Now I checked the fuel filter in the front, and its good. I checked the one in the back and it seems to be working properly. I know Honda's are known for their fuel relay. I'm just wondering where can that be in my car??? Hoping it's not the fuel pump.

Thanks for your time and help,
Joe

A. You don't mention if it is carbureted or fuel injected, so I'm going to assume it carbureted.

The fuel pump relay is under the dash, in the fuse box. I would also suggest you check the fuel pressure. It should be 2.6 to 3.3 psi with the engine OFF and key ON. If it is a bad fuel pump, there is an access cover in the trunk that allows access to it without removing the fuel tank.

The best way to eliminate a fuel filter as a possibility is to just replace it. I have seen many fuel filters that people say are good actually be clogged.
