Lincoln Continental Air Suspension

Q. I changed the alternator on my 1990 Lincoln Continental after which, the rear suspension (air bags) extended all the way up. Unable to get it down. I manually released the air from the suspension now I can't get them to fill up again. Have you any ideas?

Thanks,
Dennis

A. I would try turning the OFF for about ten minutes and see what happens. If it still doesn't work, it is possible there was a voltage spike during the alternator replacement which may have damaged the Suspension Control Module.

The Suspension Control Module has self-diagnostic capabilities, but you will need a special scan tool to access the stored codes.
