Mitsubishi Galant Clicking Behind Dash
Q. Hello, I hope I answered your questions correctly, if not forgive me. The problem with this car is that when the vent button is not on, a clicking noise begins and does not stop until I turn it back on. This causes problems while driving because it gets real foggy and its hard to get rid of it at times. Is there anything I can do, check something that may be the cause?
Also, would this be covered by a warranty? If you can help me in anyway I'd appreciate it.

A. It sounds like you nave Automatic Climate Control in your vehicle. There is a small electric motor that moves a door to switch from inside to outside air. It sounds like the motor may be running, but the door is stuck.
If you look under the dashboard, behind the glove box, you should see the motor and door linkage. Try disconnecting the motor from the door linkage and move it by hand. If it doesn't move, then it is jammed. If not, then the linkage or motor may be bad.
