VW Jetta Won't Start Wet Q. Hi Vincent, I've been having this problem with my 1996 VW Jetta GL. It starts and runs fine on dry days, but when it's been rainy with very high humidity, it would start or stalls out when running. It has power, it cranks, and often starts with much prompting, but acts strange under these conditions. Any idea what's wrong here? Jamie

A. I would replace the distributor cap, rotor and ignition wires. That's the most likely cause of the problem.
