Honda Civic Steering Pull

Q. I Have a JDM 1992 Honda Civic SIR II with a 1.6 liter DOHC VTEC engine, 5-speed manual transmission, A/C, P/S and Traction Control System (TCS). The car is 100% stock. Has the original wheels and factory spec'd tires which are about 80% tread.

I haven't had the car that long. When I drive the car on uneven pavement especially near intersections that have ruts caused by large trucks, the steering pulls quite hard to either the left or right, it depends. It only happens under these conditions. I had the car aligned two days ago, and although the mechanic said that the car was severely out of alignment he noticed the problem persisted after the alignment process.

He couldn't really tell me anything else because he wasn't sure which parts were worn. The car makes an undulating noise from the tires, the noise matches the frequency of the speed of the vehicle i.e. the faster I drive, the frequency increases. Could this be a wheel bearing problem? Could the two problems be related? Could the Traction Control System have anything to do with the problem? I usually turn it off.

A. If it was a bad wheel bearing, it should have been discovered when the alignment was done. The problem could be in one, or both, of the front tires. A slipped belt inside the tire could cause the same pull and noise. U would try rotating the tires front to back and see if that helps.
