Nissan D21 Hardbody Got New Tires Q. Vince, for the past couple of months the truck has been getting about 14 to 15 mpg when it used to get 23 to 24 mpg. The idle seems to run fast, 1,500 to 2,000, for most of the time then drop back to 900. I did get new tires, but this would cause the significant drop in mileage. 1993 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4 cylinder Manual transmission 135,000 miles Fuel Injection P/S, A/C
