Changing Volkswagen Jetta Spark Plugs

Q. This may sound like a dumb question but where are the spark plugs on a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta with a 1.8 liter turbo? And how do I change them? Do the plugs need to be gapped? Where is the PCV valve?

Thanks...

Changing Volkswagen Jetta Spark Plugs

A. There is a cover on the valve cover. Remove this cover and you will see the coils. Unscrew the coils and remove them. Then you can use a spark plug socket and extension to remove the spark plugs.

The 1.8 liter turbo does not have a PCV valve, instead it has a crankcase breather. It is located on the cylinder block, just above the oil filter.
