Comanche No Start
Q. I have 1987 Jeep Comanche 4x4 5 speed 2.5 four cylinder with throttle body fuel injection. My problem is it wont start and their is no fuel at the throttle body. I checked the fuel pump and it works. I can make it start if I poor gas in the throttle body so I know it runs if it gets fuel. I would appreciate any help with this very much.
A. Assuming you have good fuel pressure and volume, then the problem is in the injector itself or the controls.
Using a noid light, check to see if it flashes when plugged into the injector connector. If it does, then the injector is bad. If it doesn't, then the ECU is bad or there is a problem with the wiring from the ECU to the injector.
