Jeep Cherokee REAR LAMP FAILURE
Q. I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the brake lights do not work. I replaced all the bulbs, checked the fuse, recycled the key and I still get a REAR LAMP FAILURE on my message center. I have turning lights running lights and backup lights. The only brake lights I do have are at the top of the rear door. Can you help?

ArthurA. This is a problem I have been seeing more and more of lately. The brake light circuit goes through the Lamp Outage Module (LOM). When the LOM senses a inoperative lamp, the Vehicle Information Center (VIC) displays the data to the vehicle operator.
