Converting A Camero

Q. I just finished putting TPI on my 1984 Z-28 and it will start but it will only run for a few seconds, and sometimes if I play with the throttle it will stay running a little longer. I put a brand new fuel pump in and it has fuel pressure.

The only thing that I am not sure about is the MAT sensor ( I may have it hooked up wrong) The fuel injection system is from an 1988 Camaro. I also have one blue wire that goes from the ECM to the white 15 pin connector under the dash and this wire is not mentioned in any service manual I have found. Sometimes my car will not fire at all until it cranks over for a long time and sometimes it will fire right up but not stay running. It also has a brand new coil and module in the distributor. Thank you for any assistance you could give me.

A. The only blue wire I see is a dark blue wire coming from pin C-13 of the 32 pin connector. This is for the TPS signal. With the key on you should have .54 volts + or - .08 volts.

As far as the problem with the MAT sensor, the tan wire from the sensor goes to pin C-12 of the 32 pin connector. The black wire from the sensor goes to pin D-2 of the 32 pin connector. At pin C-12 you should have about 2.0 volts depending on temperature and 0,0 volts at D-2.

That's about all the help I can offer you on this. There are way too many things that could be wrong. I have never done a conversion like this nor has anyone I talked to about this. I wish I could have beem of more help to you.
