Honda Accord Rear View Mirrors Q. Hi, I have a problem with a broken mirror assembly on my 1990 Honda Accord Sedan. The car is a manual transmission. I checked through your articles on mirror repair and they all have to do with electric mirrors on newer models. Can you please tell me how to fix my driver side rear view mirror?

When you need to make space you can fold the mirror in. The problem is someone folded the mirror the other way and when I drive the car it is loose. Did something break? We took the mirror assembly off to no luck. Can you please tell me how to fix it.

A. The joint that allows the mirror to fold is like your elbow. If you try to bend it the wrong way, it breaks. The mirror is not difficult to replace, just a cover that pops off and three mounting screws.

The only difference between the power and non power mirror is the non power mirror doesn't have the electrical connector. If you want to save a few bucks, you can replace a power mirror with the non power version.
