Chevy Camaro Hard/No Start Q. Vince, I have a 1988 Chevy Camaro RS with a 305 TBI engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. I'm having a problem with the car starting; you will crank the engine 4 to 5 time before the engine will start. When I first turn the key on I do not hear the fuel pump running, it's not until the 4 or 5 times trying to start the car before I hear the fuel pump. Any ideas? Thanks, Hugh

A. Make sure the fuel pump relay is good. The ECM also controls this relay. If the ECM isn't turning it on, you need an ECM.
