Honda Accord Si Leaking Oil
Q. Hello motor god! I have a Honda Accord Si, 2.0 litre, fuel injected, front wheel drive and it has sprung a leak! It was leaking externally from beside the oil sump plug. After searching for ages I found leakage from where the cam belt cover, I think that's what it's called, meets the rest of the cover, on the rear part immediately above where the alternator is mounted.
The cover is attached by two bolts on the top and two on the side and makes up the upper portion of the cover and is plastic. Please help me as I am at my wits end.
Thank you,
Motor illiterate man,

New ZealandA. The information you gave me makes no sense to me. There is no such thing as a "Honda Accord Si, 2.0 litre".
But in general, the two most likely cause of the oil leak in that area is the front camshaft seal or the front crankshaft seal. If either one is leaking, oil will get on the timing belt and cause it to deteriorate, so I would get it looked at and repaired as soon as possible.
