Automotive Trade Magazines Q. I have subscribed to motor magazine for 17 years. It is now $36.00 per year. Can you suggest any alternative magazines? I fix forklifts, mostly electric. Motor has been the closest thing I can find to a trade publication. Their authors are in bed with the tool manufactures. "Gotta have this brand X tool", etc Richard Martinsville, Indiana

A. Well, I get Underhood Service Magazine, Motor Age Magazine and Playboy Magazine at the shop. Now before anyone goes getting critical, I just read Playboy for the articles. Both are free publications.
