Chevy G30 Van Power Steering Pump
Q. Greetings! I was hoping to get some info on my 1986 Chevy G30(?) van. Its a full size one ton with a 350 heavy duty V-8. so I'm guessing that places it in the G30 slot, am I correct? Anyways my question lies here. my power steering pump has bit the dust. It leaks like a sieve. However, when it came time for me to put the new one in, I have way to much stuff in the way.
I can not even reach the bolts to loosen it. Do I have to remove the front? Such as like the radiator and the whole front end? Granted I've never worked on vans before, and I've mainly owned Mopars, but am I going to have to do this every time I even have to change the belts?
I've tried to access these parts by removing the engine housing from the inside but I won't reach to the front of the engine. Any advice would help me and my sprained arms.

A. I believe if you get a set of ramps and drive up on them you can get this off pretty easy from below. A belt, three or four bolts and the pressure and return lines. You may have to transfer the pulley from old to new. This requires special tools!! Don't beat on the shaft!
