Cadillac Eldorado ECM Power Supply

Q. Hello, My name is Dante and I own a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado, 4.1 liter V-8, automatic transmission, 100,010 miles, P/S and A/C. On occasion, the car will misfire if I press the pedal all the way to the floor. Taking off from a stop, it hesitates a little bit. I've tried finding the power wire to the ECM with no luck. I was wondering if you could help me locate the problem, which I believe to be the ECM malfunctioning due to not receiving power.

Thanks for your time.
Dante

A. Power for the Engine Control Module (ECM) comes from the ECS fuse in the Accessory Relay Panel via a pink/black wire to ECM cavity 16. So when testing, you should have battery voltage at that connector.
