Pontiac Grand Prix Only Shifts Hot Q. Hi, I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix. Problem is it won't shift into third gear drive until the temperature gauge is about 130°. It doesn't leak and fluid looks clean. Can you help? Thanks, Mike

A. You don't say if it's a 3 speed or 4 speed automatic transmission. 3 speed could be a problem with the throttle valve cable adjustment or governor or something inside the transmission going out. 4 speed could be the vacuum modulator valve or internal problems. Any DTC's related to the transmission?
