Reset Service Light

Q. I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX with a four cylinder engine, manual 5 speed, 23,000 miles, fuel injected, ABS, P/S, A/C, Rack and pinion steering.

My question is how to reset the maintenance required light. This is not the check engine light. I think this light is tied to the mileage of the car. How do you reset it or disable the light?

Thank you,
Dave

A. Here's what you do to reset that light:

  1. Turn off the engine.
  2. Press and hold the select/reset button in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON (Position II).
  3. Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.

And that's it.
