Nissan Pathfinder Locks And Windows

Q. Hi, I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder XE V6 4WD 5 speed standard transmission. Recently, while driving down the road, my power windows stopped working. I rolled them all the way down and now they won't go back up. Also the electric door locks do not work due to this same problem.

I assume that it is a relay and or a fuse problem but I do not know the location of it. The fuse box panel does not list a fuse for these items and there are no burnt fuses. All of the fusible links near the battery appear to be all right as well. Could you please tell me where the relay or fuse may be located?

Thank you,
Keith

A. Both the power windows and power door locks get power from the circuit breaker next to the fuse box. So it is possible the circuit breaker is bad. Without knowing if the locks and windows work from the other doors, I would, also, have to guess the problem is with the main switch on the drivers door. This has been a common problem for a long time.

Before replacing the switch, I would check the wiring inside the rubber tube going from the body to the door. It is common for wires to break inside there as well.
