Ranger Clutch

Q. My 1995 Ford Ranger, 4x4, has about 75,000 miles on it. For the entire time I have owned the truck (it's entire life), the clutch has had a high release. However, it appears as though the release may be getting higher due to normal wear and tear (or perhaps I'm imagining it). However, I was wondering if you could tell me whether my vehicle had an adjustment or not? I'd like to get another 25K out of the clutch before I replace it and I'm sure that if I asked the same question at the local repair shop then be certain that the clutch needs to be replaced today. What's your opinion?

Thanks for you help,
Patrick

A. I wish I could tell you how much longer you have on the clutch, but unfortunately I can't with any accuracy. When it starts to slip, then that's it. That clutch is hydraulic and there is no provision for adjustment.
