Buick Regal Rear View Mirrors Q. Vince, over the years, both side mirrors on my 1996 Buick Regal have broken. They are both snapped close to where they are fixed to the door. The material is a hard (though not hard enough) plastic. I have glued them together with epoxy and duct tape. This holds for a week or so then they fall off. They are broken so that I have to glue plastic to plastic.

They remain attached by the cables that allow one to adjust the angle of the mirror. I looked at screwing them together, but no place to attach a screw due to contour of the mirror housing. The only other solution that I can think of is to use a soldering iron and try to weld it together. This I am afraid to try because it may be irreversible. Any suggestions that you have will be greatly appreciated.

A. The only other suggestion I can offer is to go to a junk yard, get two mirrors, out them on and be done with it once and for all.
