Mercedes Benz C320 A Lemon?

Q. Hello, I hope you can get back to me. I bought a new Mercedes Benz C320 in 2001 and it has been into the shop probably 25 times. One of the many times the service Department crashed the car and it has scratches all over it and they fixed it.

We have been very patient with Mercedes Benz but they want to fix the car and that is it. We feel now we should be given a new car that is not faulty. I have heard that this class has many problems. The MBNA company knows me and knows I am upset but are resisting to give me my money back or a new car. Do you have advice?

Colleen

A. I had someone write me about her C220. Seems she has had problems with her car as well. If you live in New Jersey, I know a dealership you could go to that would definitly be able to fix the car.

The only other option is to check the lemon laws in your state and see if you have recourse there. The laws vary from state to state but most will require a buy back or replacement vehicle. Check Lemon Law Information and Sites for information on your states Lemon Laws.
