Volkswagen Jetta Will Not Crank

Q. I have a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta. One security feature it has is an interlock system. When you lock the driver door, all doors lock. This causes some sort of connection that allows the car to start. Well, it has failed and it is not allowing me to start the car. Is there a way that I can manually reset the system without having to pay VW's outrageous service costs?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Even if you don't have the answer and refer to someone who might would be great.

Thanks,
Ryan
