Acura Legend Leaking Oil Somewhere

Q. I have a 1990 Acura Legend 110,000 miles. I have an oil leak that we can't seem to find and the last few days my check engine light has been coming on only when I am on the freeway. I am a single woman who doesn't want to get cheated. Can you tell me what these problems could possibly be?

Thank you...

Acura Legend Leaking Oil Somewhere

A. This is too general a question to give a definite answer. An oil leak can be anywhere. And there are a number of reasons for the Check Engine Light to come on.

There is a fluorescent dye that can be put in the oil and the leak can be seen with a UV light.

You can check to see what Diagnostic Trouble Codes are stored in the computer. This will give you a little more information before you take it in.

If you take it in and have any questions about what they are telling you, tell them to hold up, call me and we can discuss it.
