Mercedes Benz E320 Taking On Water

Q. Hello, Every time there is a good rainstorm my Mercedes Benz E320 somehow is getting water caught in the undercarriage. I can not figure out how to get it to drain. It is not inside the car at all I can hear it sloshing around though. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ryan

A. It would have been very helpful to know what year the vehicle was and if it were a coupe, sedan, wagon or Cabriolet.

In general, you have to determine where the water is and from there decide on a method to drain it and keep it from accumulating again.

Some model year Mercedes Benz E320 (210 Chassis) had a problem with water ingestion through the trunk seams. A Mercedes Benz body shop will have the information and equipment to repair it.

Other than that, there's not much else I can do for you besides suggesting you try drilling some drain holes in the lowest points of the frame rails. If you do this, spray them with some spray undercoat to keep them from rusting.
