Ford Bronco Keeps Overheating
Q. I have a 1994 Ford Bronco, full size. Its got a 302 in it, manual transmission and 165,000 miles on it. I have changed the water pump, radiator, fan clutch, thermostat, and given it a complete tune up. It still overheats when climbing hills, or whenever I get up to 60 mph or higher. I'm running out of things to replace. It doesn't leak water, the oil is clean, no smoke, and I also replaced the coolant temperature sensor. Any ideas would be oh so helpful.

A. I would try bleeding the cooling system first. Here's how to do it.
- Disconnect heater outlet hose at water pump to bleed air from the system.
- When coolant begins to flow, reconnect heater hose.
- Start engine and allow to warm up.
- Shut engine off and allow system to cool.
- Remove radiator cap and fill with coolant as needed.
If, after bleeding the air out of the cooling system, it still overheats, I would check for a possible bad head gasket.
