Chevy Malibu Eating Fuel Pumps Q. Hi Sir, I was wondering if you can help me. I need a fuel pump for a 2000 Chevy Malibu LS, V-6. I bought a brand new one last year from a Chevy dealer and its already bad and because it was two months over the warranty deadline they will not stand behind it. I would not be so upset but they cost $300.00 dollars American and they wonder why I'm upset.

A. 2000 Chevy Malibu? And it has had two bad fuel pumps already?? Is someone checking this out correctly? You didn't mention how many miles are on this car. You are more likely to have a wiring problem or something else going on than to have a bad fuel pump AGAIN!

What are the symptoms of the problem and maybe I can help you further.
