Chevy Lumina A/C Vent Won't Switch

Q. I have a 1991 Chevy Lumina that recently the A/C and vents will not switch from the floor to the vents to the defrosters. It has a 3.1 litre V-6 with automatic transmission. It has 140,000 miles and runs good. It's fuel injected with power steering, brakes and cruise control. I only want to be able to fix this thing.

Well, thanks for the help,
Jim

Chevy Lumina A/C Vent Won't Switch

A. Most likely a vacuum leak under the hood. There is a vacuum storage canister somewhere under the hood. It may be unplugged or the line to it is broken along the way to it. Canister may be near the battery and the hose might be rotted from acid fumes.
