Every Three Months?
Q. 3,000 miles or 3 months? I can understand the relevance of 3,000 miles of usage, but what is the relevance of 3 months? Since I've only driven 1,900 miles, why not wait until I've driven another 1,100 miles?
Dave
A. The reason a time interval is called for is that there is a possibility of something being weather dependant or related. In the case of oil changes there is a good possibility of a car that sits, condensation will form inside the crank case and water will collect. The water can damage the engine so it is recommended that the oil be changed before too much can accumulate
This becomes more of an issue if you live in a climate that has hot humid days and cool nights.
