Car Makes Noise Cold

Q. Due to the current freezing weather (0°-10°) I have been experiencing a loud scrapping noise coming from my left wheel. This noise will last for one or two minutes and then not return for the remaining of the day. This only happens when the temperature is below 0° or up to 15° and stops then returns on making turns (left or right) for a two minute period. Any information or suggestions that you may have will be helpful.

Thanks,
Roy

Car Makes Noise Cold

A. A year, make and model would help here. Water in a tire? Ice forming on a rotor? Bearing going bad? You could take the wheel off and have a look one morning. I know, I know, it's cold outside. But if you want to save some money, you are going to have to get a little dirty.
