Pontiac Firebird Scraping Sound

Q. I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird V-6 with automatic transmission, Fuel Injection, P/S, A/C, P/B and cruise control. My car is making a scraping sound and it seems to come from under the car. The sound is there when I have the car in park or neutral but when I rev up the engine the noise stop but start again when I stop revving the engine.

Also the noise is there when I put the car on forward and move in a slow speed, the same in reverse. In normal driving or in the highway I do not hear the noise only when I try to slow down and stop. Sometime there is no sound or very low sound but beside the sound my car is working fine.

A. You need to crawl under there and look! If you can't get under there I would suggest you get it looked at soon.
