Chevy Cavalier Dies Hot
Q. I have a problem with a 1990 Chevy Cavalier with a 2.2 liter, 4 cylinder engine and it's a 2 door, automatic transmission. It's also a front wheel drive. The problem is when the engine is cold, the car runs good. If I run it for about 10 miles, it warms up and shuts off. It'll start, but when I put it in gear, it shuts off. Only when the engine cools down.
I'm able to start it and put it in gear. Then it'll do the same thing when it warms up again. Any info would greatly appreciated.
Thanks...
A. You need to check fuel pressure when it acts up. Also could be a ECM problem, ignition module, crank sensor, lots of possibilities.
