Intrepid Weirdness

Q. Hi Vincent,

Here's the car:
1998 Dodge Intrepid
Small V-6

Problem:

When the passenger compartment temperature gets "hot" (specific temperature undetermined - Texas Summer) the A/C, power windows, turn signals and gauge cluster refuse to function.

If the doors are left open and the temperature allowed to lower for several minutes, all works flawlessly.

From what I can gather from scanning information on your site, everything seems to point to the Body Control Module.

Two things:
1. Does that sound right?
2. Where the heck is the BCM on a 1998??????

Thanks in advance for your help.
Ron

A. Yeah, it does sound like it could be the Body Control Module (BCM). Funny thing about computers, when the get hot they don't want to work but as soon as they cool off, they work fine.

The Body Control Module is located in the left side of the instrument panel, attached to the Junction Block.
