Dead Caravan

Q. I have a problem with my 1993 Dodge Caravan 3.0, Automatic transmission,110,000, fuel injection, ABS, P/S, A/C, cruise, rack pinion steering,

Here's my problem. I turn the key get a click from starter then nothing. Everything else works. I used a screwdriver on the starter contacts. Now when I turn on the key I don't get any sounds, no check engine light, no brake light, no momentary oil light all on the dash. Radio not working, all other lights work (head, dome, etc.)

Replaced starter and battery and distributer cap (had a hole). With screw driver starter turns over, engine cranks. Please help.

A. Everything you mention that's not working draw power through a fusible link. I suspect that the link is burned out. Replacing the link should restore all the dead systems and the car will start.

The fusible links are located at the positive battery terminal.
