GMC 1500 Has Crazy Windshield Wipers Q. Mr. Vincent Ciulla, I drive a 1993 GMC 1500 extend cab truck with a 305 V-8 TBI, automatic transmission, rear ABS, power steering and cruse control. It has 183,000 miles on it. Recently I began having a problem with the windshield wiper washer. It sometimes would not squirt fluid on the windshield. Things got worse. Now it will not squirt fluid and will not stop wiping the windshield.

It continues until I turn off the engine. Later when I turn on the ignition it stops and everything is okay. This only happens sometimes. Sometimes it all works like it should and everything is just great. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

A. Your problem is most likely a bad circuit board mounted to the wiper motor. Call a dealer and see if it's under a recall before you go and buy one. They are about $55.00 and you can replace it in 10 minutes.
