Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Heater Controls Q. Hello, my name is Matt; I just bought a 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88. One problem it has is the heater buttons don't stay in when pushed. Someone told me it works on vacuum, but I see no vacuum lines coming off the back when I look under the dash. Just what looks like cams, but don't know what holds them down. A. It's been a while since I have seen this setup. But if I remember correctly it supposed to work sort of like a ball point pen. When you push in it's supposed to lock in. Maybe a little WD-40 sprayed into it will loosen things up. If not, you will have to replace it.
