T-Bird Won't Start
Q. We have a 1987 T-Bird we just got back from the shop. Yes the shop we took it in for a no start. Items that have checked: 1. Coil, timing, distributor cap, spark wires, timing belt, spark plugs, rotor, module. Yes we dropped the catalytic converter to see if that was clogged and no change.
Compression is 125 with low battery and 140 with good battery. Yes we have good blue spark and fuel but we still have no start. The shop worked on it for two days and they told me what I told them, it will turn over but won't start please help!
Thanks
A. If you have good spark, you have fuel and you have compression, the car should start.
I guess I would look at the fuel pressure first. I would make sure it's within specs and that there is good flow. Then I would check the injectors and make sure they are working correctly. You can test the injector signal with a noid light and make sure the electrical side is working. Outside of that there's not too much more I can offer you in the way of advice.
