Buick Regal Custom Nutty Door Locks Q. I have a 1992 Buick Regal Custom. 3.1 liter with all the good stuff. I have a problem with the power locks. They move from lock to unlock, unlock to lock. It will do this for a minute then quit as soon as you open the door and shut it again. It will start again. You can open both front doors and push on the switch that is in the door jamb that operates the dome light.

If you hold one of these buttons in, it will start its thing with lock and unlock. I heard it could be the circuit breaker and if it is where do I locate the circuit breakers? I do all my work myself unless it is something internal in the engine. I can't afford the prices that mechanics charge. I would really appreciate it if you could send me in the right direction.

A. A bad circuit breaker probably would not cause this. When they "open" it will take about 10 seconds to reset. Sounds like it may be something with one of the lock switches. Maybe even chaffed wires inside the boot between the door and pillar.
