Volkswagen Jetta Headlights

Q. Hi Vincent, I have a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta GLS that is in need of a new headlight assembly. The lens has had a hole in it for about four years so the assembly is now getting rusty and I constantly have to replace the bulbs. However assembly and repair at a shop is expensive. Is the replacement of the assembly something I can do myself?

  • Manual transmission
  • 79,000 miles
  • Fuel Injection

Please advise. Thanks!
Mary
