1999 Monte Carlo Not Getting Gas? Q. I have a 1999 Monte Carlo, with 22,000 miles, fuel Injected, V-6 engine. I'm driving along and then I don't get gas. The car keeps running, but I can press down on the gas pedal and no gas. After I pull over and wait a few minutes it starts to get gas again, This happens about every two weeks. I need help. I had it to the dealer and it still does it. They serviced the fuel injection and it still does it. Alyce

A. You need to have a fuel pressure gauge put on it and drive it to be sure the correct pressure is there before replacing any more parts. Could be a clogged fuel filter or bad pump in the tank or a bad connection to the pump. There are lots of other maybe's but check that pressure first.
