Lincoln Mark Air Suspension

Q. Hi, I have a 1989 Ford Lincoln Bill Blass. I walked out to my car this morning and I saw that my car was almost on the ground. It has those type of shocks that went up and down? I think air shocks that were first on this car. All four places where the tires are are near the ground and I can't drive my car.

Could you please give me some info, of possible problems it may be? I heard a noise the other day which sounded like it was coming from my left tire area. I am no expert. I just need to know a few things before I take it to get fixed. I am a novice and hopefully it may be only one area that is bad. I would appreciate any help.

A. Well it sounds like you blew one of the air shocks or a line. If it is a line, it will be relatively inexpensive to repair. If it a shock they are very expensive to replace. With the cost of replacing them and the year of the car, I would just replace them with a quality, heavy duty shock like Monroe or Koni.
