Buick Electra Park Avenue Fuel Gauge Q. Greeting: Happy New Year. I have a 1983 Buick Electra Park Avenue 5.0 liter engine. My gas gauge is not working and the low light warning light stays on. The gauge staying full tank and past full when filled. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thank you, Rudolph

A. You need to diagnose it first. There should be a single wire to the tank for the gauge. When unplugged the dash should read full or past. When you ground this wire that goes to the dash the dash gauge should read empty. If the dash gauge responds as stated, the problem is in tank unit.
