Chevy Astro Van DRL In-Op
Q. Sir, Problem: DRL stopped working. All other lights are operational (high and low beams). DRL indicator illuminates, as it should when starting, goes off when headlights turned on, will go off when parking brake engaged and turn back on when parking brake released.
Fuses checked good in the vehicle and in the engine compartment. Pulled headlights out and checked wiring. There was some chaffing on the wires going to the low beam light connector on each lamp assembly. Repaired. No help there. Using "Haynes Repair Manual" wiring diagram, it looks like it could be either the DRL module or relay, but where are they? Or is it something else?

BobA. My schematic (I can only access a 1998 Chevy Astro) shows a relay in the convenience center, a diode in the harness at left B pillar and a control module near the diode. It could be either the DRL relay or DRL control module. A dealer should be able to fix this pretty quick.
