Really Weird Honda Accord Problems Q. Hello, We have had one problem with the odometer partially fading in and out for about a year. This past month the SRS light has turned on. Currently, along with the SRS light, the battery light, all the door lights, A/C and the emergency brake light come on when I step on the gas and there is a high pitch hum in the engine.

We have no idea if any of these problems are related but it seems weird that all the lights in the dash board are turning on and the engine sound is different at the same time.

A. I think I have to agree that all these problems are related to the new noise since they all started after the noise started.

I'm guessing that there is wire harness damage since most of these systems are independent of each other. I would look under the dash in the brake pedal area first. Press the pedal up and down and see if it is rubbing on a wiring harness. The pedal may have worn through a harness and is cross connecting some wires.

I think the SRS light is also related and was the first wire to be cut. If I'm wrong then I suggest taking it to the dealer and letting them look at it.
