Toyota Litace 1.4 To 2.0 Engine Swap Q. I currently drive a 1990 Toyota Litace it has a 1.4 litre petrol engine with a 4 speed on the column it also has 382,000 kilometers on it. It is a carburetor model, no power steering, air conditioning or cruise. Also disc drum brakes. Can you tell me if a 2.0 litre engine from a Toyota Corona around a 1988 or 1989 model would bolt straight in to my Litace as it lacks a little grunt? A speedy response to my email would be much appreciated.

A. I answer all the questions I receive in the order they come in. As much as I would like to answer them the same day they come in, the amount of mail I get makes that impossible.

As far as my information shows me, the 2.0 litre will not fit into your vehicle. With that many kilometers on it, unless the car is in excellent shape, I think you'd be better off looking for another car to drive.
